Here is a little preview. Still a long way to go. But hopefully it will all come together in the end. The left side will b a fancy grocer with a mini patisserie inside. And the right building will b a dress shop (Still working on a name) and book nook (Livre Coin). P.s. This will b a Xmas decoration that I put out every year.
I found this wooden toy house on amazon.com. I thought it would make a nice vignette for Parisian shopping. I'm squeezing two shops into each side since it's just a vignette. Also, it is not to scale. But I am ok with that. The lower level is only 6-1/4", so I had to cut the doors and windows down to accommodate the low ceiling height. We can pretend the shops are in a VERY old part of Paris. Lol
I am inspired to create Parisian Xmas shops in one inch scale. I found a wooden dollhouse toy at amazon.com that I thought I might tinker with. It's a bit under scale, but since I'm just messin' around, I'm ok with it. Anyway, I found these Parisian images on the Internet and am very fond of them. I will use them as a design source.
"I believe in an everyday sort of magic - the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places and people; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone."
Thanks for visiting!
