After a massive Harry Potter purge I was listening to jimmy buffet, soaking up some sun. I looked up and laughed! The mannies managed to survive the garage cleaning because I kept them in the garden shed. I guess you can take the girl out of Harry Potter but you can't take the Harry Potter out of the girl! LLHP! ; D
Measure the distance around the piece you are covering. Now double it for a gathered look. Measure top to bottom including half inch for seem. CHEATER TIP: use the selvage as the bottom of the skirt and you will not need a hem. Yes, yes, I know you will be sewing against the grain. It will not matter for this type of covet or fabric.
Today (May 2015) Wizardly Fun has made a massive donation of Harry Potter related items, party props, costumes, artifacts, etc. to the Salvation Army in Walled Lake Michigan. If you are a big Harry Potter fan drop by the Salvation Army to shop for exclusively and artistically made wizardly fun things.
As some of you may be aware, I was involved in the artistic creation of Harry Potter artifacts. I have , however, retired my wand and no longer engage in Harry Potter creations, party rentals, or fairs. Todays donations will conclude the remainder of my wizardly fun stuff. I hope it will be put to good use. Cheers!
"I believe in an everyday sort of magic - the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places and people; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone."
