There should b slot of pictures with the next phase of bag end build. My iPad is not cooperating. Blog and Build will continue once I have resolved the issue.
Today I stained bilbo's desk and chair express color pecan. I will later add a satin varnish. I am keeping my stain colors light like the movie. Pecan is as dark as I care to go. The other advantages to a lighter stain is a hobbit hole is less illuminated by its very nature of being built into a hillside. I also stained a couple of baskets the same color.
Tacky Glue circle trim onto center window (bilbo study). First I stained the circle trim with oak express color stain. Then I shabby painted it Clover color craft paint. This window will get more trim later. I found a picture of the exterior of this window on the Internet. However I will simplify the detailed woodwork around the window.
Thought u might like to see the windows with light filtering thru. I also should mention that I am really taking my time with this project. I have no deadline so I have no idea when it will be completed. It will not b for sale when I am finished. If u want a hobbit hole and can not build one for yourself, please contact Caroline of Cinderella Moments. You can go directly to her website by clicking on the link in the right margin. Cheers! Have a great weekend.
"I believe in an everyday sort of magic - the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places and people; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone."
