I started this project over the weekend just to have something to mess with. I am building this fairytale cottage based on Cinderella Moments how-to PDF book 'Building a Fairytale Cottage Dollhouse. a Guide to making and aging your dollhouse featuring charmed cottage'. It is very informative. You will learn building and finishing techniques.
The finish that I'm not sure I like. I want my cottage to reminisce Snow White. So I want it to be super sweet and at the same time woodsy. I'm a nature girl at heart. I am super open to suggestions. But I will say this. I have already tried painting the turret brown and hated it! Lol. U can see the dark undertone.
Decided to redo the chimney colors. Eliminated the honey glow. It just didn't match. Started over with sandstone base. Lightly dry brushed mudstone over cobblestones. Paint each stone Individually . Start with the main color Buck. Mix with glaze or stain medium and dry brush each stone here and there.
"I believe in an everyday sort of magic - the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places and people; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone."
